Our Qi Gong (also known as Qigong or Chi Kung) training is an open and warm gathering of people interested in learning this beautiful art. To support your physical and mental health, to find like-minded people. Our practices involve breathing exercises, body postures, movements, meditation, mental focus, and visualisation.
The word Qi (Chi) means “life force” or “energy”, and the word Gong (Kung) means “skill” or “work”. Qi Gong is a name for many very diverse exercises developed during thousands of years in China. They promote vital energy, mental strength, awareness and health. It is an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), martial arts, and spirituality.
The style we mainly practice is called Zhan Zhuang (pronounced ‘djam djong’). It is also called ‘standing like a tree’. The silent postures are the powerful core of the workouts, surrounded by moving exercises, which are based on these still postures.
Each and every one can exercise on their own level of possibility and experience. Qi Gong can also be practised sitting in a chair or lying down if standing is too challenging.
A training normally consists of stretching and warming up, some flow movements, practicing postures and a cooling down.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring some water in a bottle to drink. Classes are in Dutch unless requested in English.

Jeroen's Qi Gong classes help me connect with my body and increasingly learn to feel what is happening within. Jeroen provides easily applicable and patient instructions to notice the small nuances in movements. The atmosphere in the group is welcoming and approachable. Each class, I am amazed and inspired by the perception of Qi in my body. At the start of my Qi Gong journey, I did not expect to be capable of this.

I’ve greatly enjoy Jeroen’s Qi Gong classes for several years now. They help me feel more grounded, energised and connected to my body. Jeroen is down-to-earth, patient, and a capable teacher. He provides context for the exercises based on his substantial knowledge of not only Qi Gong, but also Zen and Taoism. He helps everyone push their boundaries in a healthy way, with kindness and a sense of humor. There is no such thing as a stupid question; he tailors his classes to any wishes or questions we might have and helps people find workarounds for injuries. The group energy is very open and welcoming. After class, I carry the positive effects of the exercises with me into daily life, feeling inspired and more present.

A new world opens through the Qi Gong teachings of Jeroen! He shares his exercises in a very accessible way. As such, every lesson I become more aware of my Qi. Jeroen combines the exercises with interesting stories of Chinese medicine and his own grandmasters. I leave the lessons inspired and with new energy!

I feel a connection with my group members - and the funny thing is that it happens effortlessly. The way Jeroen explains the exercises, so very calmly, allows me to truly follow along and never feel that it is stupid or wrong how I do it."
